Master Gardener Application for Hennepin County is due by October 1st
Master Gardener volunteers are committed to providing the highest quality, research-based horticultural information and educational activities that enhance our community’s environment and quality of life. This next year, why don’t you apply to be part of this great program? Hennepin County is accepting applications for the 2025 Master Gardener program through October 1st. The application can be found here.
Hennepin County has over 470 Master Gardener volunteers who contributed over 37,000 hours of volunteer time to citizens by enhancing the communities we live in. To become a Master Gardener, you complete an online core course curriculum (approx. 50 hours), volunteer 50 hours in the community, take 12 hours of continuing education credits, and research and answer questions from the community. Plus, you’re not on your own! Each intern in the program is matched up with a mentor to guide them through the year.
