It’s no surprise that eliminating paper, envelopes, printing, postage and resource time will reduce costs and provide funds for more useful projects. Receiving electronic notifications, newsletters, invoices, etc. is less expensive for any business. ShoreReport – $25,000/yr. Did you know you can sign up to receive the city’s ShoreReport electronically? More than 1,000 residents in Shorewood already receive the ShoreReport via email – that’s 1/3rd of all homeowners! By doing so you can help the city and fellow taxpayers save more than $25,000/year in paper, printing, mailing and postage costs. It’s so easy to sign up!
- Go to: https://www.shorewoodmn.gov/362/ShoreReport
- Click On: “Email Lists” on the left sidebar (you’ll be re-directed)
- Add your contact information and select ShoreReport and any other notifications you would like to receive. Submit and you’re done!
Utility Billing – $30,000/yr. You can also sign up to receive your Shorewood Utility Bill each quarter electronically and even set up Auto Pay. By doing so you help the city and taxpayers save more than $30,000/year in paper, printing, mailing, equipment and postage costs. Here’s how to get started:
- Go to: www.shorewoodmn.gov/533/Utility-Billing
- Click on: Online Utility Bill Payment – this will direct you to the site where you set up your profile and password and then you can:
- Set up paperless billing without autopay; or
- Set up paperless billing with autopay
Note: Be sure to set up paperless billing because that’s how the savings were calculated.
