The mayors who govern the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department say their dispute with Greenwood Mayor Tom Fletcher is about transparency and good governance.
If good governance is really the concern, the public record suggests the committee should start with itself.

Recently, someone took the liberty of adding Shorewood Citizen Advocates’ name to a Change.org petition opposing cannabis sales, without our permission.
This raises concerns about misrepresentation, deceptive practices, and the unauthorized use of our identity.
After 12 years and $323,000 in taxpayer funded engineering expenses, Shorewood’s staff still needs to demonstrate why the Shorewood Ravine project is necessary, how urgently it must be done, and whether the proposed solution justifies the cost.
Is this a genuine problem demanding a solution?
Shorewood will take over senior programming at the SCEC Jan. 1, 2027.
On Oct. 12 the Council debated the center’s mission, membership fees, staffing and marketing. A spirited discussion ended without measurable goals, accountability and projected costs to taxpayers.
