Use the form below to submit an article you have authored on a topic you believe may be of interest to our readers. We particularly value columns that expand on, or provide a counterpoint to, already published articles. While no subject is off limits, items that consist of topics that are of local interest or have local themes are preferred.

We prefer articles that are fewer than 800 words. Writers should disclose any personal or financial interest in the subject matter of their articles, and should be up-front about their involvement with any organization that has a stake in the issue about which they’d like to comment.

To be considered for publication, letters should:

• Preferably be 250 to 800 words.

• Generally consist of ideas of local interest.

• Include the writer’s city or town and phone number.

• Be exclusive to SCA. We do not publish open letters or third-party letters.

• Writers of articles selected for publication will generally be notified within a week. 

• articles may be edited and shortened for space.

• Must not promote products or services

Publication of any submissions are at the sole discretion of SCA. If your article is being considered for publication, you may be contacted by a member of our staff to work through any edits. Please keep an eye or ear out for an email, text or phone call from SCA.
